- And good morning everybody.
We've got basketball with brunch.
We're at the Augusta Civic Center and we've got two teams who have not lost much this year.
I'm Dave Cheever, along with Abby Hassen.
Abby, this is one of the premier games, obviously game one of six today from here we've got two games done in Portland.
Coming up tonight, you'll be at one of those.
This is as good a game as we could ask for to start.
- Yeah, really, really looking forward to it.
Obviously a couple high powered teams, 20 and one both on either side and I'm sure they're ready to go.
And these fans certainly are bright and early.
Bright and early and - Building as we're expecting A lot of folks in here today, wisdom for those who wanna find it on the map.
You go north and you get up around French V and and Fort Kent and Saint Ette.
Saint Gat is where Wisdom High School is.
They get a good look at KD on in the green coach of the Wisdom pioneers and she has had more fun this year with these kids.
Not a huge team.
You can see them.
They don't have a lot of numbers so there's no griping about playing time in that group.
- No, no, no.
That is not a problem.
It doesn't seem, but I did have to look up where Wisdom High School was.
I will not lie.
- Well Kay, - Now I know.
- Well can can tell you.
And she grabbed a minute with Ethan Snow, our on court reporter - Standing by.
But Coach Dion, coach been a great season for your team, taking out a Good Valley team today.
How was the preparation going into this game?
- We worked really hard.
We've been really coming out hot in our practices, practicing harder and harder every day.
So it's, I think my girls are ready.
- What's it gonna take to take down this reigning Champion Valley team today?
- I mean we have solid defense.
It's what we're known for.
It's what I preach since I took over the program.
I think if they play the defense that we know how to play, I really think that we can give them a run for their money today.
Alright - Coach, thank you.
Good luck.
Thank - You.
- Back to you guys.
- Thanks Ethan.
And I think she's, she's given us a little bit of a dead leg faint here.
I'm not sure that her girls want to run.
- Oh gosh.
- I think they want to control the pace, which means patience - Certainly and being really selective with your shots.
You know, trying to get lumen open and probably getting go, getting start some good looks quickly with looking at this sheet, you know, 20 and one, they're averaging about 59 points and they are 273 miles away, which is probably further than I've traveled in quite some time.
- Well hey, they're the wisdom band is playing behind us now.
They started here at four 30 this morning.
- Yeah, I hadn't had my coffee yet, but they certainly sound like letting - The dog out out there.
You get a good look at Gordon Hartwell, the coach of the Valley Cavaliers and he also had a chance to chat with Ethan.
- I stand by the coach, Hartwell coach here you are again, right back in the state game.
What's it gonna take to win Back to back titles today - We're playing against an extremely good team with great talented athletes, good coaching.
So I think we're gonna have to work hard, play the game that we wanna play.
I believe they're gonna try to probably slow us down a little bit.
We're gonna try to not let that happen and gotta win the battle of the boards and gotta take advantage of our matchups.
- What's the, what was the preparation like going into this week?
- It seemed like it was a little longer since in Class S we started a week earlier so we kind of had a week at the beginning and then a week at the end.
But yeah, we've been working hard obviously like they have, you know, looking at film and trying to see what our advantages are going to be.
- Alright coach, thank you.
Good luck.
Back to you guys.
- Thank you very much Ethan.
See the valley crowd sitting in.
Very patient and there you gotta look at their team page.
Last gold ball 2025.
They've been here before.
- They certainly have and you know, obviously they're looking to get a little bit higher scoring game, look a little bit push the pace like Coach said, you know, getting on the boards early, finishing on those offensive boards.
But again, they're not, they're not shy of the - Stage.
Alright, let, let's meet the kids that are gonna play this game today and go to public address announcer Mike Hopkins.

- And we are ready for basketball here at the Augusta Civic Center.
Again, first game of six today we have the Bo boys coming in after this one, but first pioneers against the Cavaliers Live and Luhrman.
If, if Ava Luhrman can play and play the way she did it in the regional, she's gonna present a challenge to Valley.
- Yeah, yeah.
She's dynamite and they gotta get her going early.
That is absolutely for sure.
- And we heard Kayla talk about being patient playing strong defense.
They gotta do that.
- Yeah, yeah.
They wanna slow this down.
They wanna slow this valley team down and make sure that they're being strong and poised with the ball.
- Leanna Hartwell and Delia Hill, two sophomores, sophomores are leading this valley team, which is a generally young team.
Anyway, they're gonna be around a while.
Here we go.
Opening tip controlled by valley and taking it right to the hoop and around the rim and no good the tie up.
It'll be Pioneer - Basketball.
It's a great break for wisdom.
That was a beautiful take to the lane.
It just didn't fall.
- That's not what Kayla Dion wanted.
No, get that open the look.
Five seconds into the game, here's Lurman Lurman seeing the patients all stolen away.
Nice play by Hartwell stays out traffic flips it ahead and inside and fouled if Hill she was go line to shoot two file number four, Ava Gordon Hartwell was talking this week about his team's gonna attack anyway.
They're gonna attack and force you to stop them and that's the challenge that Kayla Dion and the pioneers have.
- Yeah.
You know, I mean that is exactly who they wanted to get that first foul on.
And I mean cashing at the line.
- This is the second great rebound, really strong I Paul Peyton Roy, a freshman youth has served in these, these teams seer back to Roy and she is fouled - It's great aggressive body bump by Riley Clark.
Did a nice job turning that corner right when she hit the elbow was trying to get downhill and she ended up drawing that foul.
Really smart.
- Kristen Biglow had a reach in there.
She was lucky she didn't get called for it.
The flip out to Luhrman.
Lurman into the lane, puts up the runner's, block the flip ahead, tip the side, nice work back comes seer, gives it off to Lman pioneers, reset floor spacing.
Very impressive right here for the pioneers.
I'm not sure they're gonna shoot from - That far out, but they're doing a nice job of spreading the floor and trying to get this valley team spread out because as you saw that last possession, they really did collapse on that kind of driver and just put their hands straight up.
They make it really difficult.
Tough play, tough break, tough break.
- Kelsey Dagel tossed it into the valley bench.
That was not the target.
That's just a result.
Here comes Leanna Hartwell into the corner, long distance three just like that.
Delia Hill.
Delia Hill for three puts Valley up by four.
I think the kid has ice in her veins.
She doesn't realize she's playing for the state championship as a sophomore and performing so well.
Yeah, Sears shot not good but the tie up in the rebounding action - Puts it Valley Basketball wisdom's doing a nice job pressuring that first rebound and you know, they gotta keep that up if they're gonna stay.
Stay competi.
She's got - Kind of a big job here.
Yeah, she's gonna try to contain Brianna Mills and Mills and she at least fought for the basketball to a draw underneath up and in.
That was a great fine.
Finally Clark, good communication too.
One of the old ladies on the Cavaliers senior Kayla Dion wants to time out 5 53 to go first quarter and Wisdom has not - Put points on the board yet.
Yeah, I think they're trying to pressure so high up towards half court.
They're really trying to slow them down but they're losing people on the backside and - Doors and offers drafting and home planning - Services.

As I said, first game of six.
- Lucky me, that would work out for me because I was playing - At 11.
Oh Leanna Hartwell tried to break through the screen gets called for the push foul.
How's number 20?
Leonna Hartwell East.
Two boys have shown up.
They're in the far corridor.
The Valley boys have been here for for a while.
- Credit to these officials, they're calling it pretty tight, pretty early, making sure it doesn't get outta hand.
Setting a good tone.
Luhrman on the dribble - Watch by Heartwell.
Art Well's not gonna extend out that far.
So if favor Lurman wants to gribble outside the three point line, they're willing to letter Lurman.
Taking a look back to Emma.
Susie.
Susie round to Seer in the corner of the lurman on the tape.
Peyton Roy comes to Susie back to Lurman.
They're trying to find a gap so far not very lucky.
Maddie Sr.
Out to Roy.
Roy over to Luman has to retrieve drives on Hartwell loses control, flips it to Roy.
Roy A. Little bit far out for her steps inside.
Nice defense by Brianna Mills.
Back comes Hartwell.
The flip to the side short Hartwell gets the loose ball and the rebound as big Bigelow shot goes short.
- It's a good defensive stance by wisdom.
I really like how Valley's staying packed in the three point line and they're not coming out far.
They're making wisdom.
Oh you were in - Bangor last night, right?
- I was.
- And the Bangal floor.
Gordon Hartwell was talking about it.
That second line, the second three point line that's on the bangal floor confused some of those kids.
- Yeah - And it's one of the reasons why he wanted to be here.
And it's a single line.
That three point line is the high school three point arc line and there it is.
- Yeah.
I'll tell you Lurman did not get the memo.
She was shooting from the three point NBA three there now low up and in Riley Clark Clark catching a good - Finish.
That's a good answer by Val right now.
They're using the height on the skip passes.
Yeah.
Effectively they're very long on the dribble.
Here's Peyton Roy out High wants the handoff again to Luman Luman.
They reset the offense.
This is part of the patience.
Taylor Dion spoke about this also helps 'em a little bit because where they don't go very deep they have to conserve their energy.
Yeah.
Coming down to three 10 to go in the first quarter.
Going to the floor and we're gonna foul.
Called on Hartwell on the push for Maddie Sue.
That's her second foul.
That - Is a big break for wind wisdom.
Luman Luman on the floor.
Foul number three.
- Yeah and Hartwell on the reach in.
They were really close to turning that ball over.
Gordon Hartwell is talking to his granddaughter.
Leanna, we got a long way to go here.
Don't get greedy.
Peyton Roy comes to Luman.
Luman did the head fake.
She drove on Hartwell Smart Play while Short mills down to the rebound.
It's good drive.
They just haven't fallen yet but they get into the rim.
That's a statement that we're gonna be made several times over the course of this game.
Number 24.
Oh good hands.
Brianna Mills.
Here comes Luhrman Luhrman on the run being chased by Bigelow.
No good.
Out to Dagel.
Dagel finds Peyton Roy and again they set the offense up for the pioneers Roy into the lane.
Brianna Mills stops that.
Brianna Mills gets the rebound.
So we have a contest, a rebound outlet pass and Leanna - Harwell travels.
That's not what they wanted.
Outta that possession with a really good stop.
See if wisdom can capitalize - Lurman.
Patient dribble approaching the two minute mark.
First quarter state Class S Girls Championship Mattie Sea.
They'll get the ball around to Lurman Luhrman, look down low Daigle thought better of it then gives it to her.
She's looking for help.
Peyton Roy want to draw out the valley defense and the Cavaliers are not taking it.
Luhrman down the lane.
Oh nice pass.
Dagel can't convert quickly they find Hartwell.
Maddie Seer picks her up into the front court.
Hartwell goes baseline and is fouled by Dagel - Charles number 32, Kelsey Daigle.
Personal file number one, team file number two, - Credit to Hartwell.
She went really hard to the rim there and she was not about to be stopped.
Ran outta room.
She did run outta room but then you know she got to the charity stripper.
She's got plenty of room - But part of the charm to that was at least get the ball going toward the basket.
Right, the shot attempt and the away we go.
Nine three R score.
Make it 10.
Those are pretty looking foul shots.
Very composed.
Sophomore, she averages 17 points a game and this rate she may surpass that Lurman bounced past the Daigle.
There was a back cut there by Seer, not a Lurman Lurman left short there goes that valley length again.
Really impacted shots length and presence.
'cause again, Brianna Mills influenced that play.
Yeah, you come see her in the corner on the take to Luhrman Luhrman three point shot attempt.
No Leanna Hartwell picked up by Maddy.
See her again.
45 seconds to go.
First quarter, take a load to Hartwell Hartwell again with Maddie Seer on Defense.
Takes a look for the three point shot.
Makes the three point.
That is a Leono Harwell.
Three beautiful shot on the take.
Lurman draws a crowd.
Gets it in the corner, no far side.
Christy Gellow into the front court picked up by Emma Susi steps back launches high.
Rebound goes out of bounds off Peyton Road.
Substitutes come in for the pioneers, including Ellie Seer again, youth being served a freshman.
Maddie Sr.
Goes to the sideline.
- It's a great coaching decision to get them blow with seven seconds left so we can get 'em an extended break.
Rick SCA is in as well.
- Brianna Mills with the rebound and shot Temp Coast late.
We reached the end of the first eight minutes of play at the Class S Girls State Championship Game Valley Cavaliers, the defending Champs 13, the pioneers of Wisdom High School three will be back for the second quarter after this timeout - Production of high school basketball on Maine.

Ava Lurman.
Hands it off to Ellie Seer, back to Emma Sui.
Lurman.
Runs it down, puts it up and it's fouled by Delia Hill.
It's a nice take.
You can see what she wants to do.
And there it is.
Number five.
Yeah, when she came through with - Right arm, you know she got Herman Abel Luman Wisdom.
That's something that Valley's done well so far.
Just didn't there.
Keeping their arms straight up and just taking up space and making make, making Luhrman make a tough shot.
One of two from - The line for Ava Luhrman.
He gets the rebound off to Hartwell.
Hartwell picked up by Maddie Seer to flip into Brianna Mills.
Mills up and in Nice mills.
Nice little entry pass where Brianna Mills was the only person who was gonna be able to get that ball.
Yeah, Lurman to Roy, back to Lurman.
She thought about the three, but Delia Hill is right out here on defense.
Susie, back to Lurman.
Tries to find a lien.
Maddie Sea seer.
- We've got the wind for help behind us.
They're just waiting for one to go.
- Brianna Mills recognized the harm came back, helped out hill into Mills.
Mills backing in, flips it up.
It's short.
They go down to the loose ball for the pioneers and off to Lurman.
Lurman for three doesn't go.
Kristen Bigelow down to the Loose Ball finds teammate Leanna Hartwell.
No surprise there.
She's the point guard.
Sophomore Bigelow for three.
Yes, - It's a good big shot at Valley Three Wisdom wants to get real - Quick it over.
Take a time out, regroup here.
18 to 4, 6 18 to go.
Second quarter.
One of the things the Valley girls did during the off season, and I'm not sure the off season is the correct term, but because they played year round, - Yes.
- And not only do they play year round, they they challenge themselves.
You know when you see Oceanside and Hamden and Gardner and and Lawrence, those are teams that that the Valley girls played all through last year.

18 to four is our score valley with the lead, but the wisdom pioneers with the basketball and Kayla Deion is trying to come up with a plan here.
Abel Luhrman has been frustrated trying to drive in the lane and the long shot hasn't dropped yet.
- Yeah, she saw one go in which was nice and you know she's just hoping for a couple, as is the wisdom group behind us.
They're waiting to explode.
- Norman tries to go deep to dle.
Daigle swallowed up inside Leanna Hartwell backed away.
She didn't want the third foul and there we go.
Hey, that's what they mean.
Maddie seer three with the three Hartwell being chased by Peyton Roy.
Now stopped by Maddie Seer cuts to the right, leaves it off for Carly Cates another freshman.
Yeah.
Kirs and Bigelow for three.
Can't go three for three right now.
- Bigelow's another one that's been averaging double figures for the Cavaliers.
Yeah that's a smooth shot And that's her second.
Probably gonna keep pushing - Bigelow bothered Luhrmann's dribble on the way through.
They come to dle.
DLE bounce past the Lurman.
Lurman goes up with it and I think we're gonna get Carly Cates on the reach-in foul.
- Yeah, wisdom in that session.
Moved the ball pretty well.
Moved it really quick.
So Valley had to move defensively.
They just found an open spot.
Lurman shooting two.
It collapsed quick.
Just not quick enough.
- Luhrman makes the first that three by Maddie Sr.
Seer could be enough to spark the - Pioneers here.
Yeah, they need a spark, that's for sure.
They just need to stop here.
Get something going off the offensive end.
Harwell backs away - Now loops it into Carly Cates and it's tipped away.
It's a stop they needed.
Might not be the best pass.
Roy goes up and Gordon Hartwell.
Far aside he's saying to Daisy Wright Go straight up.
Go straight up Miranda - B personal file number one.
Gene file number three.
- Yeah.
This is really good for wisdom to star scoring with the clock stops so they can get some momentum going and get a couple stops at the defensive end called being on the foul.
Is she - Had, she and Daisy were a wall there?
Yeah, Peyton Roy was not - Trying to get through.
Now he's gotta get back to keeping their hands straight up and not bailing 'em out.
So giving them points.
- 2110 Hartwell in the lane.
Puts it up and in.
Up and out.
Oh, up and out.
Excuse me.
And we're gonna get a tie up and Harwell Larman Hartwell comes out shaking your head what It'll be Valley basketball.
Yeah.
I thought - You had a good look and Leman snuck in there.
Quick - Release.
Daisy Wright on the Putback.
No good there.
Battling inside.
Going to the floor is Hartwell and we're gonna push foul.
See what he's putting up here.
File number 22 Peyton Roy first.
Roy one team file number one.
Only her first.
Again the loop in.
Flip up no good.
Put back in Miranda beams.
- Miranda Beam wisdom's gotta put a body on somebody and back up.
Got another sophomore for - The Valley Cavaliers.
Hartwell goes to the floor and Gordon Hartwell wants a timeout.
Great call for timeout to keep that possession.
- College is expensive but it doesn't have to be an army.
ROTC Scholar - Season nine of high school.
Quit show Maine returns and mark your calendars.

4 31 to play.
First half, 2310 Valley with the lead and the basketball.
- Yeah, I mean was just gotta start chipping away.
I mean they've done a nice job in the last couple possessions getting some looks, especially at the foul line.
But they gotta, they gotta get a stop here and a score on the other end.
Kirsten Bigelow will - Inbound the ball and get it back from Leanna Hartwell front court taking a look.
Bigelow will go until they stop her.
She goes to the floor, bounce past, back to Hartwell where there's your safety net.
Every team should have one of those right Baseline, no good and it'll be a pioneer basketball.
That's a hard fall that she popped back up and good effort by Miranda Bean.
That was good hustle.
Left the ball on the apron and left part of her knee on the floor.
Ava Lemon's been expecting this.
She knew this was going to be a challenge to her doing, doing pretty well but almost had that too nice.
Bounce pass goes to the floor and it goes out of bounds.
Justin, I'm lucky.
Tough break.
Yeah, cynical as she left part of her knee on the floor available she needed Hartwell Watch by Maddie Seer.
Looks to go down the lane.
Comes to the side.
Biglow.
Oh that's a nice block up.
Nice place and back from the wisdom pioneers trailing by 13, three and a half to go second quarter.
Try to go to Peyton Roy Hartwell say she traveled when she went to the floor so it'll be Wisdom Basketball.
Yeah.
- Credit to Hartwell.
She's been playing with 2000 since early first quarter and she hasn't picked up another one and she is working - To be out on the sideline.
Maddie Seer comes to cynical Peyton Roy Lurman Delia Hill on her defensively and a push by Sal.
Yeah, you can't lean in on that screen.
- How number 13.
Unfortunately that's gonna cost wisdom of possession One team file Number two.
- She knew what she wanted to do but she wasn't quite close enough.
Yeah, she had to lean in.
She checks to the - Sideline.
It's so important that your teammate runs the player off of the screen.
They gotta get close 'cause that screener can't move.
- Hartwell tries to go to the bounce pass and it's kicked.
It'll be Valley basketball.
- Yeah, she was looking for that step up so she could dump down, but it kind of stayed.
Put Harwell - For three days.
- Three deep.
- Yes.
Harwell pure shot.
I was just gonna, I was just gonna say what you know, not having, maybe Gordon should pull her out for a couple of seconds.
Let her catch her breath.
Nevermind.
Oh no.
Har Luhrman goes to the basket and it's fouled.
She'll go into the free throw industry too.
- Thousand number 24.
Yeah, Brian Mills.
It's a nice take by Lurman.
You know she's not slowing down at all and she's about deterred by this 16 point deficit for her team.
She's just gonna keep chipping away.
- Brianna Mills first Fal call.
She was about a half foot away from having good defensive position on that and Luhrman beat her the spot.
Hartwell.
Pull up Jumper no good.
Roy down with a loose ball for wisdom down the net.
Luhrman up the floor to sear steps inside and doesn't drop Mills with a rebound.
Hartwell measured Pace up the floor.
Bigelow.
Ooh, carried it.
It's like she, she looked like she might give it to Leanna and then, oh wait a minute.
I think I'll keep it.
She brought it up and everything.
Oh no.
You may see that in the pros, but we're gonna call it here.
- Yes.
As it should be.
- Luhrman for three and another illegal screen.
Dagel Brent Delia Hill off the defensive position - File number 32.
Kelsey Dagel.
Personal file number two, team file number three - 14 point lead 2 0 8 to go.
First half.
First game of six here from the F Pacific Center today.

One of the adjustments by Gordon Hartwell give, give Luman a fresh set of legs going after her.
So Hartwell off her have Delia Hill Garter - Val Luman shooting two.
- I bet that's not the first time she's hit the floor this year.
- I wouldn't think so.
I don't think it's the first time she's hit the floor this game.
- It might be perspiration but it also might be an involuntary tear in that eye.
- Yeah, that hurt.
Yeah.
I just hope she can kind of rally and stay in this game to keep pushing for her team.
Okay.
- Hill has two fouls.
Five team fouls for Valley.
One 10 to go and counting.
Second quarter Bigelow in load of mills.
Nice play Peyton.
Nice walking up top.

Mann's gonna get well to zero break.
Yeah.
They may send the trainer over And the length of wisdom really - Made that ball up.
Top Mills keeps it alive, but it's picked up by Dagel finds Lurman the flip ahead.
Ellie Sead Valley from Maddies.
Here - Section started counting a little early, trying to get wisdom to toss one up.
- Peyton Roy surveys the court checks the clock looking for all the defense out.
They get close enough they start are counting the seconds right you dad count And this may be on the penetration backing out as Susie comes to Roy.
Roy.
10 seconds Daigle comes to Maddie Seer in the corner.
The flip to Daigle.
She didn't think it was for her.

Ready to get underway here at the Augusta Civic Center.
Wisdom pioneers begin with the basketball.
Ava Luman on the dribble into the front court.
26 12 R score Valley with the lead but wisdom with the ball.
Close to a travel there but she was able to get rid of the ball.
Luman with it goes inside the Peyton Roy.
Roy into the lane flips back to dle.
Dle looking for help, finds Maddie Seer Lurman kind of outside the three point line.
She - Drives the lane instead and there goes, that's a good strong take from Lurman and a great way to start her second half.
I'm pretty sure Kayla Dion - Had a couple of suggestions.
Elia Hill maybe.
Maybe Elia Hill makes an open look like that.
Nothing but that.
Luman again flips back to Dagel Seer.
They look to layman Lurman again.
Lay Luhrman tries to go across the lane with it but it's fouled in the - Attempt.
Yeah, I think the thing that's tough right now for wisdom is every time they score Valley has an answer on the other end.
So they're not able to get any momentum going, which is what they need right now.
They need a push.
Riley Clark called for the - Foul.
Peyton Roy holding the ball high off the inbounds pass.
Luman with Deer Hill watching her dle.
They come around to Maddie Seer.
Maddie Seer.
Hands back to Loman Hill's length is bothering Loman.
- Justin unfortunate on a miscommunication.
It didn't seem like she was ready for it.
- Well the past attention, Dagel Dagel was looking to cut back around her to give her some room and oops, there goes the ball right.
Leanna Hartwell Roy wanted her to go to the right, didn't drop Brianna Mills three Anna that is big.
Nice soft touch right off the top of the glass.
Soft touch.
Didn't bring the ball down, kept it above her head.
- Love to see it as a post player.
- I wouldn't know what that is.
Yeah, select few do Loose ball picked up by hill.
Maddie Seer chases her down.
They go inside.
Ow it in.
That is nice.
Ball - Movement play by Riley Clark's a great feed inside and a nice little tip in - Number 32.
Kelsey dle.
Personal file number three.
Team file number one.
- Yeah right up and down there.
Why - Shooting water?
- Very nice.
Finish.
Let's see if she can finish it at the charity.
Stripe.
- And she does.
Those of you wondering, Abby was busy last night and her voice kind of betrays her a little bit.
She was at the Class B State championship game in Bangor last - Night, correct?
I was.
Yeah.
My older brother Connor is the boys coach at Yarmouth and so you know, competitive nature really took over last night and I forgot I had plans today.
- Well you're doing just fine.
Thank you.
Thank you.
I appreciate it.
33 14 wisdom showing a patient offense but at some point they're gonna have to be impatient.
They trail here by 19 Luhrman head fakes gets it back to Peyton Roy.
Roy Maddie Seer into the lane drives on Lena Hartwell and it and D Hill.
Which one gets the foul - Fouls on number 20?
Leonna Hartwell.
It's - Gonna be third foul on Leanna Har Hartwell.
Maddie Seer.
She is talking to herself.
- Credit to Hartwell.
'cause she, again, like I said earlier, she got those two early S in the first quarter and this is her third all the way, almost mid third quarter.
Right.
- Pretty understand that she's a sophomore and she's directing traffic, communicating what Coach Gordon Hartwell wants.
Yeah and it could be a change in defensive responsibility here because it looks like they're attacking Leanna Hartwell.
- Yeah.
Yeah.
Which is the smart play.
I mean that's what they gotta do right now.
They're trying to get her off the floor - All thrown up and goes off the rim.
It's a good attempt by Kristen Bigelow who's had a good run here today.
Rus Ball picked up by Luhrman.
Luhrman drives on hill, drives toward Hartwell.
Bit strong.
Dagel is gonna be fouled and it's probably on Brianna Mills.
- Thousand number 24 Brianna Mills personal file number two, team foul.
Number three.
- Boy - Val Leanna - Hartwell was in the neighborhood.
It's like, oh Val recovered back really well.
It's just, I didn't get that second one.
There you go.
It's the first again, this is where wisdom's really gonna need to capitalize is on these foul shots with the clock not running and so - She does, she checks out and Brooke Sal back on the floor.
Yeah.
Good time for a break for her.
Hartwell to Brianna Mills crossed the lane.
Nice idea.
Nice pass a miscommunication.
Riley Clark couldn't come convert Peyton Roy drives on Hartwell.
Who has to back away?
Brianna Mills clears up the defensive rebound Hartwell behind the back.
Dribble drives on Maddie Seer comes up left side to deal hill in No good.
Brianna Mills on the Putback still no good.
Peyton Roy on the outlet pass drives toward Bigelow.
Nice play.
Riley Clark Hartwell kicks it ahead to Delia Hill on the Chases Peyton Roy deal.
That's a really nice, he'll be on the chase but Hill was able to get there first.
Lurman for three.
Rattles out.
Rattles out three Anna Mills yet another defensive - Rebound.
I don't know that she's hit another three since that first one.
The first quarter that had a nice look to it.
It just didn't drop.
- Yeah, just an unfortunate bounce.
Bigelow steps back away from Susie and her three point shot at Attempt No Good out the Hill.
Hill and Hills.
Clips it.
They bring it around to Hartwell.
Maddie's here picks it up and we get a tie up - Possession Arrow Valley Boy Vale's really keeping their foot on the pedal.
They're really not letting up and they're not slowing their game down at all.
Even up - Big load to Inbound finds Hartwell.
Well that's a default setting I think for Valley.
Yeah.
Find Hartwell.
Her shot is no good.
The Putback attempt by Riley Clark is short but she's fouled - Fouls.
Number 13.
Brook Seneco personal foul.
- Yeah.
Brook Eneco just came across and almost got there in time.
Just kind of put her arm through - Second foul in Seneca.
Checking out for Valley is Kristen Bigelow.
Carly Kates back on the floor.
It's a nice box out.
A nice rebound finds Maddie Seer.
Maddie Seer took a look at Leanna Hartwell drove on her and then dropped the ball down low to Senal and she's gonna go to the line.
Yeah.
They continue to attack And that's such a, such a tension from the pioneers.
Number 21, Riley Clark Personal.
They need to, they need to score, they need to move with some pace.
Yeah.
And yet that's not exactly what Kayla De Young wants them to do or wanted them to do.
If they could control what the scoreboard was - Telling them.
Right.
Well and when their game plan was to play a little bit slower, play a little bit more poised, it's hard to switch that gear and then say go faster.
Go attack Riley Clark - Checks out.
I ran to Bean back on the floor for the Valley.
Cavaliers Hartwell for Maddie Seer on her defensively comes to Kate's, looks inside the Brianna Mills.
No good - Loose ball picked up by Dagel boy.
Wisdom's finding really good position underneath - Luhrman drives on Kate's and they're gonna say a blocking foul and Ava Luhrmann's gonna go to the line.
Val's gonna be on Carly Cates - Calls number one, Carly Kates personal file number two, - Number five, boy that puts a valley in the or that that's wisdom in the bonus for the next two minutes and 46 seconds down 15 down 14 down 14.
That's good news for Wyndham.
I mean wisdom.
Time up.
Gordon Hartwell wants to time out.
He's not happy at the moment.
High school sports championship.
- Yeah.
He - Can't be with - 5,000 Keep stop the clock and giving some opportunities and wisdom's, doing some penetrating on the dribble that he would like to see held off.
- Right.
Well and they have, the Length Valley really does have the length to disturb those shots without swinging their arms through, which is what they're doing right now.
Which is again really hurting them.
- A little earlier, Abby was talking about what she was gonna do tomorrow because today was gonna be filled with live basketball.
Well hey, if you miss a game or wanna watch one again.
Maine Public is rebroadcasting all of the state final games this weekend, last night's Class B games were seen this morning.

They lead by 14 with 2 46 to play third quarter.
- How lovely is that?
The people at home get another opportunity to hear this voice.
I I think they'll grow Used to it.
So lucky.
So, so lucky.
It's your Hollywood voice really.
I could talk normally if I wanted to, but it's really part of the persona I'm trained.
Got you in now finished by Laman - Lead down to 13 Leanna Hartwell measured dribble, no particular hurry.
Maddie Seer comes out a little bit to defend Gives of All Hill looks inside Kate.
Baseline Jumper.
No good.
Brianna Mills on the Putback around it.
End.
- Brianna Mills.
Yeah Mills you know being a big body underneath does a really nice job.
Gordon Hartwell said that - She does so many things that wind up helping to determine the outcome of the game.
- Yeah it was.
It's gonna see one of those go at least one and then maybe the tide swing.
- Hartwell seer extends the defense into the front of the back court rather.
Hartwell drives on Lurman.
And we're gonna get a player control file on Leon Harwell.
That's four on Harwell.
- That was a hard fall - Player.
Control file number 20 Leon on Hartwell personal file number - Four.
Alright, that isn't face of joy right there.
And Gordon Hartwell is pacing in front of the bench.
He now he knows what they're gonna try to do.
Two minutes to go in the third quarter.
- Yep.
- If there's a way and Delia Hill just turned around to Leanna Hartwell to say, oh hey, we're gonna protect you.
You stay back there and out of trouble.
- Really glad to see that she's up and all right though, that was a pretty hard fall.
Peyton Roy, no good.
- Leanna Hartwell gets in the rebounding action now.
Gives the ball control over to Delia Hill into the front court watch by Luhrman off to Leanna Hartwell.
I think it's gonna be unlikely that she'll drive under a minute and a half to play.
Third quarter, 15 point lead for the defending champs upper Kennebec Valley Junior, senior high school Luhrman the way they come down court to Peyton Roy Ball knocked out of bounds by Leanna Hartwell.
Great house of by Hart while Buck.
Boy, that's a misty play and I, she could have taken a big dive into the table but she chose not to.
And I think that was wise.
- I think it was wise too.
My younger brother did that once and it didn't work out great for him.
I think the table won.
- Peyton Roy holding high.
The passing ball stolen away.
Kate's on the run up and end Carley - Kates.
It's a great seal finish by Kate and she just jumped into that passing lane, stole the ball right away.
She saw the pass coming all the way through.
Luhrman for three is short.
- Brianna mills down to the loose ball and they're gonna say a tie up and the And the ball's gonna remain Pioneer Ball.
Yeah.
High flying.
You really think you're - Gonna take the ball away from Brianna?
- Yeah.
- White strong.
I don't think anybody was taking that from her.
- The flip back to Roy, the Daigle, they're giving her a little bit of latitude on the footwork Luman spin dribbles into the lane.
Comes to roll right hands around the corner.
Ah.
Just didn't whips it back.
Kate's picked up the loose ball down court to Hill Hill.
Nice play.
That was a beautiful touch by heart.
Well running out, running out of room on the left side.
Cut underneath the basketball basket rim and put it up on the right side.
Just a smart play.
Yeah.
Really nice.
Tap pass over to a teammate to finish back to a 19 point lead for the Valley Cavaliers with 16.2 seconds to go in a third about the time that they could creep up within, you know, close enough to say so.
A little spurt by the Cavaliers begun by defense.
- Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
And they've done a really nice job in the Defense bend.
I know they've had their fair share of fouls, but they've really locked it up in the last probably three possessions and they've looked really good and you know, having wisdom, just making some unforced errors, which is unfortunate and again, hindering their ability to build momentum and get that kind of swing going so they get a little bit closer to knocking down that door.
- Just a reminder, this is game one.
Game two will follow immediately after this one.
And the awarding of the gold ball, Eastern Bears and the Valley Cavaliers.
Again, the Valley folks aren't leaving this building today.
As we got Penobscot Valley and Mount Abram in Class D and Machias and Monmouth also in Class D.
- Oh, beautiful Play.
Nice.
Good move by Laura.
Really nice handoff for UCLA cot.
That was a great Diana Hartwell for three - And they say no.
She traveled.

Eight minutes to play in this in regulation time.
It's gonna be a mighty steep hills for the wisdom pioneers as Valley will open the fourth quarter with the lead in the ball.
Maddie Seer.
It's gonna bother the inbound.
Play a little bit as Leanna Hartwell.
She of the four fouls.
Three point shot attempt off the rim.
No good.
Great rebound Roy with it.
Roy's a freshman.
Nice future for a - Few of these kids.
Yeah, she's got some size, she's got some rebounding ability.
She's a really nice job.
I wouldn't have guessed a freshman.
- Maddie Sead a junior.
She'll be back from the sideline.
Emma.
Susie, the other junior.
- Credit to Susie, she was ready to shoot that thing.
- Kate's to Dia.
Delia Hill, let's Cly.
No loose ball.
Picked up by Susie finds Lurman.
Maddie Seer from the sideline.
No good Hartwell, no hurry into the front.
Court backs away asking the pioneers to extend their defense.
They do.
Kate's back to Hartwell, the loop down.
Load a hill up and in.
Really nice us.
Hot well on - The dribble.
Lulled him to sleep.
Yep, there you go.
That Heartwell put him in and really dish that nice.
And boy was she fired up after that.
Leman is fouled going from the basket.
Shot was good and Kate gets called for the foul.
Nice strong take by Luhrman again.
She is just continuing to drive and continuing to push seeing what happens in the next six minutes and 24 seconds for her wisdom team.
- She's gonna be looking to play next year as a freshman.
I believe we're talking Husson - College.
Good for her.
Huston's a really good program.
Coach Kissey Walker up there does a really nice job.
- Bigelow off to Hill Hill.
Good host All Ball and Luhrman stole it away.
The pitch to Maddie Seer.
Back to Roy.
Skip pass.
Susie no good.
Leanna Hartwell down with a loose ball deal.
Ya hill back to Hartwell again.
Asking wisdom to extend their defense and they do.
Hartwell on the drive puts it up.
No good loose ball pickup in traffic by Maddie Seer.
It's a great - Defensive stand by wisdom.
I mean they've gotta give it everything they - Got.
Drives on.
Quick.
Kate Sal.
No good Hartwell dribbles out of traffic.
I trying to get her team fired up.
16 point lead Kates off the Bigelow Bigelow.
He's a player control foul and Christian Bigelow.
Wow.
- Play a control file.
Number 10.
Kirsten Bigelow.
That a good stand?
One good team follow - Two.
Saw her coming in hot and understood and she might be a little bit sore tomorrow.
- Luhrman Front court under five minutes to play bounce past to Senegal handoff.
Peyton Roy to Luhrman for three.
No.
Get it to drop Senal and the ball's gonna go out of bounds.
It's gonna be off Cynical and it'll be a valley basketball.
- Yeah, you can really appreciate the hustle and these kids are not - Letting up - At all.
- Emma Susie, fun.
Part of the lead for Valley is that they don't have to extend the lead defense.
They can wait for wisdom to come to them.
Right?
And that's keeping them a little bit fresh.
- Yeah.
Wisdom's really going to need to, I mean, push on both ends right now, which doesn't bode well for a team with eight players who really only plays seven Luhrman for - Three off the back of the rim.
No good.
They go to the floor, there's a tie up.
Possession arrow remains - Here.
Boy, Val Roy Valley keeps getting lucky that Mann's missing those threes if she ever connects, we got a problem.
- Peyton Roy took a look, gives it back to Lurman.
Coming down to Four minutes Lurman and dear you Hill.
It's called on the Reachin Foul.
You know, if I'm Gordon Hartwell, I think I'm gonna stay coaching number three, team foul number three.
Yeah, he does a nice job and he clearly we're gonna take a, a quick time out on the court.
Tell you what, why don't we take a quick time out as well.
We'll be right back.

4 0 5 to go.
43 27 Valley with the lead Borealis returns in April with more amazing stories of the great main outdoors, papal places, animals, activities, and much more from Dorry Rowing and Belfast to mountain climbing in Clifton.
From birds and salamanders to jellyfish.
Lin Sarnai leads.
You Bo Hal, check it out.
Peyton Roy on the inbounds finds Maddie Sr.
Let's go for three.
Leaves it short.
Deer Hill down the loose ball tie up.
This time it'll be possession.
Arrow Valley.
- Boy, she's really been putting the pressure on, especially on the rebounding end.
- These kids seem to have good court sense.
Yeah, yeah.
They've got great spatial awareness.
Make alone not the pass that she wanted.
Target was good.
The delivery little bit off Luman drives on Kate's and loses the ball out of bounds.
Yeah.
Nice piece of coaching by Gordon Hartwell.
Currently Kate's fresh legs making Abel Lurman work - Just that much harder.
Yeah.
Lurman really wanted, his screen was trying to get downhill to get some contact and maybe an and one - Hill.
They flipped to Kate's looked inside, they spread the floor.
Maddy seer bothers Hartwell Hill back to Kate's coming down to the three minute mark.
Hartwell the flip over to Hill to Kate's gave him a keep away going on here as the Valley Cavaliers are protecting that 16 point lead hill out.
Hide a Harwell.
- Of course Valley wants to steal, but you know, they've got no fouls on the board.
Hartwell on the Scoop Layup.
The Heartwell.
That's a nice take.
Nice strong Take - Wisdom timeout.
Wisdom pioneers want to time out.
I'm not sure that there's a an 18 point play in the playbook, but she's telling a kiss, Hey, they've put an effort on this floor today.
I I I don't think she can fault them for everything that they've tried to do.
- No, of course not.
And you know, you try to rally 'em and you try to make sure that they end the right way and make sure that, you know, they push to the very end.
But boy, I am really, really impressed with how both schools have traveled, how their fans have traveled.
Obviously Valley has another game after this, but it is really, really fun.
- I was talking to Dan Warren earlier this week and he was betting that everybody in the county would stay down the whole day, you know, because they, you know, they got teams here.
- I was gonna say, I mean you've got to, there's no way you're driving back and forth but Luhrman credit to Lurman because I mean, excuse me, credit to Hartwell because she has played in foul trouble all game and has really, really done a nice job of continuing to stay aggressive and continuing to really push her team and drive her team and - Be that floor general that she is 2 37 to go.
Fourth quarter, 45, 27 Valley with the lead wisdom with the basketball.
Gordon Hartwell still shouting out instructions.
Standing man to man defense here.
Carly Gates knocked the ball out of bounds.
DLE back on the floor and cynical out for the pioneers.
As we said at the outset, you know, unless you're the eighth grader on the Pioneer bench, you really can't complain about not getting playing time.
- Yeah, I mean you get a look and you do what you can with minutes and you just try to keep legs fresh.
As fresh as possible with eight kids.
- Hill is fouled by Ava Luhrman.
- Number four, Ava Morman personal file number two, team file number one.
- Yeah, if you're wisdom you gotta put a couple more fouls up on that board so you can stop the clock and maybe hope to get a couple missed foul shots and some rebounds.
You mean like that?
Just like that.
It's like she was listening to me.
You held up the sign.
Hey, that's all I - Can do.
You're all over it.
Oh yeah.
Here down here.
Kirsten Biglow going All right, fine.
We'll come down your way in the back court she finds guess who?
Leanna Hartwell.
Hartwell gets it off to Kate's.
Kate's looking to get the ball back to Hartwell and Kate's is fouled.
Yeah, I mean - Now we're turning in the right direction and again, all you can do is hope they miss a couple foul shots and you can capitalize on the other end to close the gap - Or get the ball thrown out of bounds.
You know, for all of her hustle and her energy, her defense today, that was the first foul on Maddy Seer.
- Yeah.
Which I mean pretty incredible for this type of game 'cause there have been no shortage of fouls called - Luhrman drives on Kate's and they're going to reach in on Carly Kates.
She nods an agreement.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I gotta pause.
- Well the alternative there was that it was on Hartwell, which I don't think any of us want right now.
This says a nice job staying up nice and tall.
- Peyton Roy to Maddie Seer drives on Bigelow and fouled by Bigelow.
- Bigelow didn't stick around to watch that foul call.
- Also number 10, Kirsten Bigelow personal file number two, team foul.
Number five.
- I see a really beat her baseline and he drove hard.
This is the first he gotta capitalize on those.
- Mind her to stay with us.
Easton and Valley.
The boys game comes in here next big alone to Hill to flip the Kates - For a minute and a half.
Now I can start to feel it now playing a little bit of keep away burden some clock possessing the ball, making wisdom spread out.
Chase him around and ultimately - Reaching foul on Maddy's here.
But apropos to your earlier point with Valley, you can put 10 kids on the floor and do that.
Keep away.
You can play in the front court and say okay, we need to burn some time off the clock and actually face a defender.
A little bit more difficult.
If you have eight kids on the, on the team, - Some would say impossible but you know, you get a couple trash cans out there.
Pretend that there's defenders out there.
- The pioneers may not like the end of the season, but what a season it has been.
Yeah.
As we're under a minute to play and the Valley fans are rising on the far side.
- Yeah.
Coach Hartwell is trying to get everybody excited as if they need any help.
- Danny Hill will go to the line to shoot free Throws Hill two.
- Yeah, I mean credit where credit dues credit where credit is due.
You know, Laman really did do everything that she could and what a stellar game for a stellar kid who's had a wonderful season.
- Emma Sui checks out for the pioneers Dia Hill baby faced assassin for the Cavaliers.
They just have, and you know Gordon knew this early on, they, they have a lot of weapons.
Lurman in the lane.
No good.
Rihanna Mills cleans up again on the defensive glass.
Bigelow fouled by Ellie Seer and Kristen Bigelow was on line number - Seer personal file number one.
Kristen Bigelow shooting two - Valley boys have assembled to to watch the trophy presentation.
- Yeah, pretty great for that community.
Holy cow.
To have both teams in it to have a girls team repeat.
That's fabulous.
- Emily Manso, David Clark, again more underclassmen for the Cavaliers.
Carolyn Gould number 33 comes in big responsibility because guess what, she's eighth grade.
This is a program that's pretty healthy in Bingham.
Lurman on the basket, gave a lurman Lurman just doesn't have quit tour and she's gonna finish it.
Good for her.
Lurman steals the ball, drives the lane, gets fouled and I think that'll be on Gould.
I was number 33.
Carol Karen Med, another eighth grader is in the in the game.
Number two, wanna make sure Skyland Washburn, another eighth grader is on the floor for Valley and Hannah Martin, the freshman for - Wisdom is on the floor as well.
It's nice to be able to reward those kids who work so hard in practice.
Get 'em on the floor, get 'em a sense of what that feels like in a big, big game like this.
Luhrman for three.
No - And that'll do it.
Your state champions for the second year in a row.
The Cavaliers of Valley High School.
48 to 30.
Here's Gordon Hartwell and the Valley fans.
Too many weapons.
Abby.
Too many weapons.
- Yeah, too many weapons.
Too much length.
You know, wisdom never really got going offensively in a really hard time.
I mean 30 points credit to them because they kept valley under their season average.
Which or average of the term.
Which was 70 some odd - Five points.
Ava Luhrman - Wasn't enough tonight.
- Alright, Ava Luhrman her valley.
She averages 26 points over the season.
She had 20 today and she had to work to get them.
Yeah, - She certainly did.
They pressure her hard.
- Riley Clark five points.
Yeah, - Luhrman just Brian only saw believe that one three go in.
Just never got that shot going.
Which really hurt wisdom.
Couldn't open anything else up and allowed Valley to really stay in nice and tight.
- If you had said before this game started that Delia Hill would be the top score for the Valley Cavaliers, I bet you know with one of those old sport bets, things that you could make quite a bit of money.
Probably.
I mean she's been their second leading score or or no worse than the third leading score today.
13 points.
She led the Cavaliers and Leanna Hartwell who had you pointed out.
- Yep.
- She had to play smart with all of the the foul trouble that she got into beginning in the first quarter and she finished with 10 Very impressive victory by the Valley Cavaliers.
We're gonna have the awarding of the gold ball and the recognition of these players.
Please Hamman - On behalf.

There's a world outside of this place, Abby, but for right now, the world here is all smiles.
- Yeah, I tell you, I mean what a great way for Valley to kind of warm up their boys team is for them to get another gold ball.
It is really, really fun to watch teams cut down that.
I never got to do it, but I'm happy for them.
You can sneak into the gym sometime and just practice.
Don't think I haven't thought about it.
Don't think I haven't thought about it.
Really great to see that Valley community come out obviously for bold teams, but really nice to give them a win.
Start off the day.
- Yeah.
Tracy Ette just left the floor on down to our left and as she left she shook hands with Mike Burnham who's retiring as the main principal association executive director.
And Tracy obviously having a a great high school career and college career in Maine.
Good basketball player.
The assistant coach for the Wisdom pioneers.
Good luck at Delia Hill.
- Yeah.
Top score.
She was dynamite.
Super strong.
Everybody getting their chance to swing the - Net.
Make sure they get a photo op.
Ethan Snow's gonna be standing by with Gordon Hartwell in just a minute and the boys are getting antsy because they're coming in here next the Easton Bears and the Valley Cavaliers boys team for the Class S Boys state championship game.
- Yeah, it's difficult to stand and wait and watch them do what you're hoping to do in 32 minutes.
- Cla But wait they will as as we note, although they, they may go take a break at the concession stand Valley.
People aren't really going anywhere.
They're gonna stay right here.
I was gonna say it's not one o'clock yet.
You think they - Have coffee over there - Now Get Bruce and Maureen Cooper in there to hold the ladders and get the nets put up for game number two.
Game number two of six.

Good luck on that.
- Yes.
- And Camden Hills Portland.
Full day of basketball here.
State Championship Day on Maine Public Television.
We've got a team photo to be taken here with the repeat champions of Valley Cavaliers.
- What a nice way to start my day and then I'm gonna end up in Portland and lucky for me I get to watch the Portland Bulldogs so I teach, if you call me tonight after the game.
- Ah well I know that it's you.
- Yeah, I'll probably have to text you Texting's probably my best bet at this point.
- Well you know you have the benefit of youth but you gotta remember, you gotta discipline yourself.
You, you read it, let it all hang out at your brother's came last night.
Yeah.
- Not as useful.
I youthful as I like to think And that's apparent.
Nice to see kids in the stands.
- Oh look it starts at - What they - Can be.
Jim Gibson who was with us at the half can tell you the kids up there, they start with this, this is like a birthright - Alley - High school basketball and they start young and they stay at it Right on up through - That much is clear by the way they played tonight for sure.
- And the Nets are now installed.
The ladders will be removed and as the girls head through the corridor, we can see Ethan Snow over there.
He wants to talk to the victors.
- I would think they've got a fair amount to say getting some of the - Guys from, well it's not ho hum.
You know this is, they started 115 days ago.
- Yeah.
- And this was the goal from day one.
That, and it's, it'll be a goal for wisdom to get back here.
You know, they'll find somebody to replace Ava Luhrmann's points on that team.
'cause they have a young team as well.
All right.
Ethan is standing by with the victorious girls Classy champions.
The Valley Cavaliers.
- Alright, well I'm standing down here with a victorious Valley Cavaliers Group.
Liana, what a game for you, despite the foul trouble today.
Managed to stay in the game and carry your team to a second consecutive gold balls.
This one feeling any different from last year?
It's - Awesome.
I mean, feeling it's different 'cause it's at a CC and this is technically, we call it our home court 'cause we play here more.
So it was awesome to win one here.
'cause coming two years ago we lost here and it was devastating.
So coming back and being able to pull off the back to back was awesome.
It was a great feeling.
- What was it like wisdom.
Really good team.
They hung around you kept, they managed to stay within an arms length when you got in the foul of trouble, did that change your mindset at all?
Or what is, what is your mindset when you get into foul of trouble like that?
How, just how does your team rally around you?
- I switched off of Ava Lerman 'cause she was their main player, our main focus.
And I just, I didn't try to block as much 'cause that's sometimes an issue.
I get into foul trouble by trying to block things.
So I just kept my hands straight up and I knew that getting a fifth foul would've sucked if I had to go out.
So being able to keep it up for was great.
- All right.
Let's bring Coach Harwell in here real quick.
Coach what?
A coach another back to back state championships for you.
How was this one different than last year?
- Well, the kids have progressed.
It's a, it's a different group.
I mean, they're, they're a lot more mature than they were last year.
And the other thing is, this is a third consecutive year they've been in this game.
So I think they were, they came into it in a comma state sometimes.
You'd never know it the way the game was going, but I mean, we, we did, we were, we were not, we were relaxed coming in.
They knew what they had to do and they just had to do the work and they did.
- Alright, coach.
Well, congratulations.
All right ladies, one more question for all of you.
You've been in this game before, might be a little bit different, but do this other anyway, tell the camera when it was like to be state championships for a second straight season.
- Dave Abby, back to you.
He thinks the, he thinks the cheerings for Ethan.
That's a well, Abby, thank you for being alongside for the Girls Class S State championship game now.

You got the Class A game coming in tonight from Portland.
