From the Vault.
A celebration of 60 years of Maine Public Television.
Perhaps you were hitting the dance clubs around Maine in the late 1980s.
Maybe the bounty in Bangor or GEno's Rock Club in Portland.
Well, chances are you might have caught a show by one of the bands we were going to feature on this episode.
We are going to rock out with some great songs from the 1986 1988 series Exit 13.
Some of Maine's best rock bands and performers came to the Lewiston studio and in this show we will show clips from 13 of the rock and rollers that stopped by.
Now a few are no longer with us or have retired but a number of them are still performing around the state or in their winter hangouts of Florida or Arizona.
In fact Peter Gallway has just released a new album in conjunction with The Real Band.
It might be his 30th and they have several dates around Maine over the next few months.
So you might be able to catch them or some of the other bands you're about to see somewhere this summer.
Now get out the hairspray and crank up the sound.
And let's go back to the late 1980s for Exit 13.
