And, it's the gift that keeps giving.
There's always more to find out and learn about it.
LEE FIELDS: I like all kind of music because I think music is like, is like, being in a candy shop.
You know and you got all kind of flavors you know.
For people to eat one kind of candy man, that seems kind of boring to me.
Some of my early influences were Joe Tex, James Brown, The Temptations, the Motown sound, Hank Williams, Dolly Parton.
And I was influenced by Porter Wagner.
That's the reason why I wear the shiny suits.
The country western guys, always had on those glittery suits.
You know lately, I've been having some problems in my household.
I guess everybody has some problems from time to time.
But my wife, we've been married a long time.
She hasn't been speaking to me for two or three weeks.
[Audience laughs] I said, "Well, what's wrong?
Tell me, and we'll remedy the problem."
She said, "Well, it's not enough money coming in this house."
AUDIENCE: Ohhh.
LEE FIELDS: I said, "Baby, I'm making good money."
She said, "It's not enough.
I like to frequent exotic places.
I like to, enjoy the best of things.
I like to, get into things that we just can't afford.
You don't have the money to do that."
I said, "Baby, what you want me to do?"
She said, "Get another job."
Listen, let me tell you something.
I love my woman.
When she asked me to get another job, that's no problem because I want to keep her satisfied.
And the best way to keep a woman satisfied far as I know, the cash, man.

When the cash run out, regardless what a great lover you are, it's good temporarily.
But for longevity, you got to have the cash.
